Disney-a-thon 2!!!

Last year I was excited to join in the new Disney themed readathon and I’m beyond happy they decided to bring the Disney-a-Thon back for 2020!

Most of everything is the same as last year but just for a recap, here is some important information:

What is Disney-a-thon? This is going to be a Disney based readathon! Pick a team based on 1 of 4 Disney movies and complete your teams prompts and continue through the map to gain points for your team.
When does this Readathon take place? This Readathon takes place August 1-31st. If you want to participate you must pick a team and have a set TBR before August 1st.
What are the 4 Groups?
~ Team The Little Mermaid led by @celebrityreadsh
~ Team Hercules led by @TheFrancisconMP (@celebrityreadsh on behalf of him)
~ Team Beauty and the Beast led by @natureofpages
~ Team Princess and the Frog led by @izcurrentlyread (@celebrityreadsh on behalf of her)
Rules for the Readathon?
~You must have a fixed TBR unless your special ability says otherwise. NO DNFs!
~Your TBR must be chosen before August 1st, as well as your team.
~You must complete all prompts in order! There will be a special order map.
~Have fun!

Although every team has their own prompts I am only posting my team’s on this post. If you would like to know the others all the information, quiz, and FAQs can be found on the Twitter page for the Disney-a-thon.

I thought last year was hard picking a team, but this year’s was way harder! I was leaning more towards Princess and the Frog since it is based in New Orleans and I live in the South! (Plus I really love that movie and wanted to join that team the most!) I did take the quiz to see what team it might say, and lucky me got the results of Princess and the Frog! So that will be my team!

Now before I show off my TBR, here is the list of prompts I must complete before moving on to the next area of the map!

Honestly, I had a hard time picking books for my TBR. I think I went back and forth a 100 times about what books I wanted to read but I think I am going to be pretty happy with what I chose! For the most part I decided to try and make this a chance to read a few ARCs that I need to get to.

Tiana: (Hard-working Character) Fable by Adrienne Young

This was the hardest prompt to find a book to fit for me. I had it narrowed down to a few books, but when I looked at the ARCs I needed to read I felt like the description for Fable fit pretty well.

Prince Naveen: (Royalty) A Princess in Theory by Alyssa Cole

Getting a chance to read for Disney-a-thon is great, but buddy reading is even better! A friend from Twitter (@Shybooknerd) asked me if I would want to read this one together with her considering we both are doing the Readathon and I couldn’t say no!

Dr.Faciliar: (Magic is Used) Where Dreams Descend by Janella Angeles

I have really been wanting to read this book, so I’m excited to read a story about competing magicians! If this is not a good choice for this prompt I’m not sure what is!

Ray: (Bright Cover) Of Curses and Kisses by Sandy Menon

Bright covers always seem to pop out, but for some reason as I looked around my shelves I had a hard time picking something I thought would be bright. The book I picked may not be the brightest book, but I thought it could work. I’m also doing this as a buddy read with @midwestbooknerd!

Charlotte: (Group Book) An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

This book has been setting on my bookshelf for years, but I have yet to read it. I’m excited to have the chance to finally pick it up with a group of friends to read it with! I know I’m going to enjoy this one and can’t wait to

dive in.

And that’s my TBR!!! I don’t know if I will be able to finish all of these and move on to the next world, but I am going to try. Here is the map we have to follow:

As a small extra, the special ability Team Princess and the Frog has is from Mama Odie! This gives the power to transform another team’s prompt into one of your own prompts!

Have you read any of the books on my TBR? If you have what did you think? If not, do you plan to read any of these?

That’s all I have for now, but I hope you have a great bookish time until we speak again!
